4. Pricing and Payments

• Estimates: Estimates provided by Maitland Movers are based on information provided by the customer. We strive to offer accurate estimates; however, final prices may vary depending on the specifics of the move.
• Payment Terms: Payments are due before or upon completion of services, unless otherwise agreed. We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, checks, and bank transfers.
• Late Fees: Any overdue payment may incur additional fees, which will be communicated to you at the time of your agreement.

5. Customer Responsibilities

• Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding the nature of your move, including the type and quantity of items to be moved, and any special requirements for handling or packing.
• Access to Property: You agree to ensure that the premises are accessible for the movers, with clear paths and appropriate space for the moving crew to work safely and efficiently.
• Packing and Preparation: While we offer professional packing services, you are responsible for the preparation and proper packaging of certain items (e.g., hazardous materials, pets, plants, or other restricted items).
• Liability for Non-Standard Items: If you require moving of items not typically moved (e.g., pianos, safes, or fragile objects), we may charge an additional fee or refuse to move these items at our discretion.

6. Liability and Insurance

• Standard Liability: Our moving services come with basic liability coverage for items that are damaged or lost due to the negligence of our crew or our equipment during the move.
• Additional Insurance Options: We offer additional insurance options for coverage above the standard liability. It is highly recommended to purchase full value protection for valuable or irreplaceable items.
• Excluded Liability: Maitland Movers is not responsible for damages to items that are not properly packed, items that were not listed on the inventory, or for any pre-existing damage. We are also not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, accidents, or road closures).

7. Prohibited Items

We will not move certain items, including but not limited to:

• Flammable liquids or hazardous chemicals
• Explosives
• Perishable goods
• Plants or animals
• Weapons or firearms
• Items of significant value (e.g., cash, jewelry, documents)

Customers are responsible for properly disposing or securing these items before the move.

8. Scheduling and Cancellations

• Scheduling: Once an agreement is made, we will confirm the moving date and time. You must notify us at least 48 hours in advance if you need to reschedule or modify your move. Failure to do so may result in a rescheduling fee.
• Cancellations: If you cancel the moving service within 24 hours of the scheduled date, you may be subject to a cancellation fee. Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will not incur charges.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

Maitland Movers is not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to factors outside our control, including but not limited to:

• Natural disasters (e.g., floods, hurricanes, earthquakes)
• Traffic or road closures
• Vehicle breakdowns
• Strikes or labor disputes
• Government regulations or actions

In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and make reasonable efforts to complete the move on a revised schedule.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Maitland Movers, its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising out of your use of our services or any violation of these Terms and Conditions.
